The dog named Toto, that always followed Dorthy around, in the all time classic musical The Wizard of Oz, is that very same dog that was on set, and in the movie still alive? Was their more than one dog that played the role? If so who were they? Are them dogs still alive? Did these dogs have their own name besides Toto. If theirs only one whats his real name? The main thing I need tho, is if one or any of the dogs that played the part of Toto still alive.|||Sorry sweetie, but Toto died a long, long time ago. Dogs only live 7-15 years, and The Wizard of Oz was made in the 30's.|||Toto the band, is still alive and well. They broke up in 2005, but they reformed in 2009. They can still rock the song, Hold The Line.
But Toto the dog is long gone. Dogs last about 7 to 15 years, but rock lives on.

So unless he's frozen next to Walt Disney i don't think he's going to make another appearance.|||No, does only live 10-15 yrs usually.
