You didnt mention if this is IE6 or IE7.





before concluding that this is a virus or spyware issue,try the following steps.





Try these steps.





1) Open IE --%26gt; tools --%26gt; internet options.Go to "connections" tab.Open LAN settings.Make sure none of the options inside the LAN settings is checked.Close all the windows.


Close the IE and then open it and check if the issue is solved.





2) Open IE --%26gt; tools --%26gt; internet options.Under "general" tab --%26gt; settings --%26gt; view objects -- delete all the files listed in "downloaded program files".Close all the windows.Open IE and check if the issue is solved.





3) start --%26gt; run --%26gt; type the command "proxycfg -d" and then check if IE opens fast.





If all the steps failed,then do a scan using superantispyware from www.superantispyware.com.Remove the infections and check if that helped.
